A wonderful mid-century portrait in original frame. Alexander Hossack was an active British artist from the 1920s, exhibiting three times at the Royal Academy of Arts. Living in London and thence Surrey. The period frame bears the artist's name and address twice to the reverse and once on the stretcher.
