Norman Cornish - a self portrait of a thought

Norman once said in a television interview, that “any picture is a self-portrait of a thought. The artist feels something sincerely and deeply, or at least he ought to, otherwise he shouldn’t paint it at all.” This exhibition showcases thirty-five never before seen works from the estate of the artist, all of which give a glimps not just into the world and time in which Norman drew and painted, but on his own focus, what he saw as important and meaningful.
