Glasgow Boy 1951 by Joan Eardley (RSA)

Purchased by Ronald Craig (1927-2013) directly from Eardley's own exhibition at Gaumont Cinema, Aberdeen, for 6 guineas in 1951. 
Around 1947/48, Ronald Craig enrolled at Gray's School of Art, Aberdeen. After his graduation, it was customary for students to have their own exhibition at Gray's and Ronald was able to purchase this picture after selling two of his own at his post-graduation exhibition, plus borrowing an extra two guineas from his parents.
